Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

AskFbgTX ("we," "us") provides Fritz, a free AI guide to Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum and we never sell your information.

What we collect

Newsletter signup. If you join our mailing list, we collect your first and last name, email address, and (optionally) your city and state, along with the date you consented.

Contact form. If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and the message you send so we can respond.

Chatting with Fritz. The chat is anonymous and requires no login. We do not store personal details from your questions. We keep only anonymized, aggregated topics (for example, "asked about wineries") to improve coverage — never your name, email, or the specifics of who you are. If you choose to share your approximate location for "near me" answers, it is used only to answer your current question and is not stored.

How we use it

To send you the newsletter you asked for, to respond to your messages, to operate and improve Fritz, and to keep the service secure. That's it.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it beyond what's needed to run the service. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: Kit (email newsletter), Resend (transactional email), Supabase (secure data storage), Anthropic (AI that powers Fritz), and Vercel (hosting). Each only handles data as needed to provide their service.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To access or delete your information, email us at fritz@askfbgtx.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

AskFbgTX is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version.
