AskFbgTX is operated by STW Kollektiv, LLC (doing business as "AskFbgTX"). In this Policy, "AskFbgTX," "we," "us," or "our" refers to STW Kollektiv, LLC. We operate the AskFbgTX website at askfbgtx.com and the AskFbgTX mobile app for iOS and Android (together, the "Service"). The Service is a free AI-powered travel guide for Fredericksburg, Texas, featuring an AI concierge named Fritz.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

We built the Service to be privacy-first. Fritz is designed to help you plan a trip, not to build a profile of you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact information with any business unless you specifically ask us to connect you.

1. Adults only (18+)

The Service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. Fredericksburg is a wine-country destination and the Service includes information about wineries, tasting rooms, breweries, and other alcohol-related businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or provide any information to us. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at fritz@askfbgtx.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to give us. Most of the Service works without you providing any personal information. You only share personal details when you choose to, for example when you:

• Subscribe to our newsletter — we collect your email address (and name, if you provide it) so we can send you Fredericksburg tips, events, and updates.
• Ask Fritz to email you an itinerary — we collect the email address you provide to send that itinerary.
• Contact us or a partner — through a contact form or a request to be connected to a local business (see "Local business connections" below), we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message or request.

Your conversations with Fritz. When you chat with Fritz, your messages are processed to generate a response (see "How Fritz works" below). We may retain conversation content to operate and improve the Service. We take steps to strip personal identifiers from stored conversation data and to retain it in an aggregated, topic-level form (for example, "someone asked about dog-friendly patios") rather than a record tied to you. Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or health information) in a chat with Fritz — Fritz does not need it and you should not provide it.

Location information. If you ask Fritz a "near me" question (for example, "what's the closest winery" or "what's walkable from here"), the Service may request your device location. Location is used in real time, only to answer your current question, and is not stored or logged. You can decline the location permission and Fritz will still work fully — you can simply tell it where you are instead. You can change or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites and apps, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information when you use the Service, such as your device type and operating system, browser type, general (approximate) location derived from your IP address, pages and features you use, search queries within the Service, referring links, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies, and through the analytics and advertising tools described below.

Push notification tokens. If you enable push notifications in the mobile app, we collect a device push token so we can send you alerts about events and updates. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.

3. How Fritz works (AI processing)

Fritz is powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When you send Fritz a message, the content of that message is transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response, and may be combined with our curated Fredericksburg knowledge base and, where relevant, current information such as weather. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider to return Fritz's answer. We select AI providers that offer commercial data-handling terms intended to protect the confidentiality of API inputs and outputs.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and answer your questions through Fritz;
• Send you the newsletter and itineraries you request, and respond to your messages;
• Connect you with a local business when you ask us to (see Section 5);
• Understand which topics, businesses, and features are popular so we can improve Fritz's knowledge and the Service, using aggregated and de-identified data;
• Send push notifications you have enabled;
• Measure and improve our advertising (see Section 6);
• Keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your contact information. We share information only in these limited situations:

Service providers. We use trusted third-party companies to run the Service. They may process your information only to provide services to us, under contract. These include: Anthropic (the AI that powers Fritz), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (website and app hosting), Kit (newsletter email delivery), Resend (transactional email such as notifications), Meta (advertising and analytics — see Section 6), Stripe (payment processing for business partners only — not for consumers), and mapping and weather data providers such as Mapbox and Open-Meteo used to answer location and weather questions.

Local business connections — only with your explicit consent. A core feature of the Service is helping you get connected to local businesses, including real estate agents and other partners. We share your contact information with a local business only when you clearly ask us to be connected. For example, if you tell Fritz you'd like a real estate agent to reach out, we will record your consent and pass your name and contact details to a participating agent so they can follow up. When you consent to a connection, you understand that the business may contact you (including by phone, text, or email) about your request. We never hand your information to a business without that clear, affirmative request from you, and we do not share your information for the business's own unrelated marketing.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business transfers. If AskFbgTX is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor this Policy or provide notice of any material change.

6. Advertising and analytics

We advertise the Service on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta Pixel and similar analytics tools to understand how people find and use the Service and to measure the performance of our ads. These tools may set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser data, and your approximate location, and may associate that activity with your Meta account if you have one.

Under some privacy laws this activity may be considered "targeted advertising" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can opt out of this kind of advertising and analytics:

• Adjust your ad settings within your Facebook/Instagram account;
• Use your browser or device controls to limit cookies and ad tracking (on Apple devices, App Tracking Transparency lets you decline tracking);
• Contact us at fritz@askfbgtx.com to request that we not process your personal information for targeted advertising.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Service working, remember your preferences, measure usage, and support the advertising described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Service function.

8. Your privacy rights

Everyone. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, turn off push notifications in your device settings, revoke location permission in your device settings, and contact us at fritz@askfbgtx.com with any privacy question or request.

Texas residents (and residents of states with similar laws). Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;
• Correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
• Delete personal information we have about you;
• Obtain a portable copy of the information you provided to us; and
• Opt out of targeted advertising and of any "sale" of personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at fritz@askfbgtx.com. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email address associated with the information) and respond within the time required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Appeals: if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing fritz@askfbgtx.com with "Appeal" in the subject line; if you have concerns about the outcome, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.

Account deletion. If you have created any account or asked us to store your information, you can request full deletion at any time by emailing fritz@askfbgtx.com, and a deletion option is available within the app.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, we keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe, and lead information for as long as needed to complete and document the connection you requested. Aggregated and de-identified information (which does not identify you) may be kept longer to improve the Service. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address issues promptly if they arise.

11. Third-party links

The Service may reference or link to third-party websites and businesses (such as a winery's website or a booking page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them information.

12. U.S.-focused service

The Service is operated in the United States and intended for visitors to and residents of the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
